Our Argan Oil is pressed form the nuts of the nuts of the indigenous argan (Argania Spinosa) tree, a native of Morocco. Its is referred to by locals as "liquid gold" for its healthful properties. The oil is extracted using a traditional method of hand pressing a dough like paste and collecting the oil that is produced. Argan trees are adapted to dry harsh desert conditions and perform similar protective properties for the skin.

Argan butter is predominantly monosaturated from its oleic acid content, and polyunsaturated due to its linoleic acid content. It also contains impressive concentrations of Vitamin E, polyphenols, squalene and carotene.

Argan butter is the perfect pre-made base for many skincare products, including balms, body butters and body scrubs.

Argan butter has an impressive phytosterol and fatty acid composition, which makes it an excellent product for use in skincare and treating problematic skin. It is light and capable of penetration the skin without feeling greasy, and with its high linoleic and omega 9 concentrations, it is can help treating more mature skin, by reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Argan butter is considered anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and moisturising and has anti-sebum benefits which can help regulate oils on the skin.

Argan butter is insoluble in water and alchohol, but soluble in other oils. It should be added to the formula as is, in the fat phase of the formulation, and can be used at 1-100%, as it can be used neat in massage oils.

Typical use levels: 1-4% in skin care products, 0.2-2% in shampoos & conditioners. Can be used cold or heated to 60°C/140°F. For external use only. Stable when kept in a closed container, protected from light, at a cool & dry place.

It can be used as a standalone base for products such as balms, body butters and moisturisers.
