Soya bean oil, commonly known as soybean oil, is a vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the soybean plant (Glycine max). It is one of the most widely used cooking oils and is also utilized in various industrial applications. Soybean oil is produced by extracting the oil from soybeans through a process that typically involves crushing, pressing, and refining.

Our Soya Bean is cold pressed form the seeds of the soybean plant (Glycine Soya)  to yield a lightweight, nutritious, non-greasy and absorbable carrier oil with little to no odour and a light yellow colour.  Chemicals from soybean oil, called plant sterols, are used for high cholesterol.

Soya Bean Oil is exceptionally high in lecithin, sterolins, amino acids and vitamin E.  Soya Bean is becoming a popular alternative to almond oil amongst massage therapists.

Moisturising Properties: Soybean oil is an excellent emollient, providing deep moisturisation to the skin. It helps in maintaining skin hydration, making it suitable for use in various moisturisers, lotions, and creams.

Rich in Essential Fatty Acids: Soybean oil is high in linoleic acid, an essential omega-6 fatty acid. These fatty acids play a crucial role in maintaining the skin barrier and overall skin health.

Antioxidant Activity: Soybean oil contains vitamin E, which is known for its antioxidant properties. Antioxidants help protect the skin from free radicals, which can contribute to premature aging and skin damage.

Improves Skin Texture: The emollient nature of soybean oil helps improve the texture of the skin, making it softer and smoother. This makes it a valuable ingredient in products designed for dry or rough skin.

Anti-Inflammatory Properties: Soybean oil contains compounds with anti-inflammatory properties, making it beneficial for calming and soothing irritated or inflamed skin. It can be used in products designed for sensitive or reactive skin.

Hair Care: In hair care products, soybean oil can provide moisture and help improve the overall condition of the hair. It is often found in conditioners, serums, and hair masks.

Natural Source of Phytosterols: Soybean oil contains phytosterols, which can contribute to the maintenance of skin elasticity and firmness. This makes it suitable for anti-aging formulations.

Soybean oil is insoluble in water and alchohol, but soluble in other oils. It should be added to the formula as is, in the fat phase of the formulation, and can be used at 1-100%, as it can be used neat in massage oils.
