Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) is a hybrid of Pomelo (Citrus maxima) and Sweet Orange (Citrus x sinensis).White grapefruit essential oil is a citrus-based oil derived from the peel of the white grapefruit, scientifically known as Citrus Paradisi. It is obtained through a process of cold-pressing the outer peel of the fruit, which captures the aromatic compounds present in the peel.

Grapefruit oils, like all citrus peel oils, have a predominance of limonene, the bright, lemony monoterpene that provides an absolutely delightful aroma when diffused to refresh and disinfect room environments.
